POST 6

Date: 11/05/08 and 11/06/08

I am feeling extremely poorly, all flu symptoms. Therefore, couldn't work out yesterday and don't have the energy to workout today either. Damn! At this rate I really don't know whether I am going to meet my goal. To add the cherry on the top...I had a panini and bruschetta yesterday. Why?!?! Why?!?! Why?!?!

  1. Being sick is NO EXCUSE!!! Scratch that...ok - you're sick... so don't workout. No problem. But WHY eat what you did???? Oh, that's right...that's going to make you feel soooooo much better, RIGHT??????? Girl, just wait till I see you at the gym again. We are going to "hit it so hard" you just may throw up that Panini and bruschetta!!! You know I love you!

  2. You can do this. In the past, when I felt discouraged by lack of weight loss - despite my best efforts - I found myself sabotaging my diet. It gave a tangible/explainable reason for my lack of success instead of it just being a mystery. I think you’ll probably have weeks of amazing weight loss, weeks of moderate weight loss and weeks of NO weight loss but if you keep losing inches at the rate you’re going you’ll be a super-toned 160 lbs which looks waaaaaayyyyyy more fabulous than a flabby 150 lbs person!!!! You’re doing the right things and I’m really impressed with your decision to get a personal trainer. If you fall off the wagon (a la Panini) don’t spend lots of time regretting it – let it motivate you to get back on track. Congratulations on your success so far!

    It's Hilary! Veray forwarded me your blog. So sorry you've been sick. No fun at all. I'd love to meet you @ the gym on Fridays & Saturdays. On Saturdays, we could do the 9:30am spin class! I'm starting to really enjoy it. I know you will as well. I plan to take every spin class that's offered there: Tues,Wed,Thurs,& Sat. You should too! Hang in there-you can do it!
