POST 9

Thanks to all of you who have been pushing me to update my blog (esp. my fab friend Jen, and Katie who I have never met but was kind enough to write some comments on my previous post). I have actually had a terrrrrrrrrrrrible couple of weeks in term of both motivation and discipline, and needed the push to get my backside into gear.

Veray is really upset and disappointed in me. I don’t blame her - I have had to cancel a couple of workouts, have been late to two workouts AND have not been doing any exercise on the days I am not strength training with Veray. All in all I have been sucking!!

Well, as my great friend Jen told me this evening…I shouldn’t be too hard on myself and focus on what I have achieved to date. That will give me the energy and motivation to continue on my journey to a ‘better’ me (If such a thing was possible….hehehehehe…just kidding, just kidding!).

Also, the fact that we have friends visiting from out of town makes my ‘eating sensibly’ a much more difficult task. I am cooking for everyone…and that is really tempting. But, you know what, I love these friends of ours and wouldn’t want them not to visit just because I am ‘eating sensibly’. I need to have more control over my temptations as life will always bring some surprise or another which doesn’t always fit in with your plans. Therefore, to keep on track with my caloric intake I shall be eating Lean Cuisine for the next week or so. I don’t have the time to make a separate meal for myself…and I love their Chicken & Mushroom Panini and Roasted Vegetables Pizza.

Update

Had two Ugly days since my last write-up and here is the net effect:

Weight – 190.2lb
Body Fat – 43.5% (Gone up :-()
Hydration – 40.5% (Veray has made we swear off Diet Coke…going forward it’s only water for me.)

Total Inches – 295.25” (Don’t even want to talk about it…!!!!!!!)

Average Weight Loss Per Week – l.2bs (Goal 2.5lbs per week)
Total Weight Lost – 9.8lbs (Should have been at 20lbs to date)
Total Inches Lost – 15.75” (Gone up as well :-()

Things To Do

1. Reevaluate my goal
2. Write-up a meal plan for next week

  1. Jen is right about looking at how far you've come and forgetting about how far you would have liked to be by now. We all make mistakes, and life gets in the way, the important thing is to realize that you haven't destroyed all your hard work (which you haven't) and to get right back in there (which it sounds like you're doing!). Keep at it!
